Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to lead the culinary team in delivering exquisite French-inspired dishes. From menu development and kitchen management to ensuring impeccable food quality, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our restaurant's high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head Chef to create seasonal menus and innovative dishes that showcase the flavors of modern French cuisine.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
• Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency and adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, upholding sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations as needed.
• Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continuously elevate the culinary offerings at our restaurant.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant, preferably with a focus on French cuisine.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of French cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
