Progress with your career interests across Energy and Water companies, Environment Agency, National Highways, Homes England, High Speed 2, Ministry of Defence, DLUHC, Network Rail, Transport for London, Transport for the North, West of England Combined Authority and the GLA and many others such as LEPs, local authorities and private developers.

Your purpose

Responsibilities and requirements will depend on your experience, our team:

  • Provides advice to our growing markets in the development, transportation, energy, aviation, water and defence sectors.
  • Delivers an expanding workload for a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors.
  • Works in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment with colleagues in environmental, engineering and design disciplines across the wider Atkins UK and international teams.
  • Delivers transformative and highquality infrastructure and communities.

What you can bring

  • A relevant planning degree and either RTPI membership or evidence of working towards RTPI membership (or related/equivalent qualifications/professional membership) are desirable.
  • You must be selfmotivated, enthusiastic, determined and resilient.
  • Work under pressure, with excellent time management and success in meeting tight deadlines
  • Manage and work on multiple assignments delivering outputs on time and within budget
  • Work well as part of multidisciplinary teams with the confidence to input effectively as an individual across a range of projects, consenting and strategic planning, and a range of geographies.
  • Prepare accurate and wellpresented reports and presentations to a high standard.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss planning issues
  • Being different makes a difference creative thought, qualitative reasoning, atypical problemsolving, pattern spotting, bigpicture thinking, and the ability to multitask or singletask focus.
