    WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for an Authorised Person Lifting Coordinator to join our E&M Division for a site-based position covering the central belt of Scotland on a permanent basis. The overall purpose of the AP Lifting Coordinator role is to plan, coordinate and execute all lifting activities in accordance with Projects requirements and business wide when required. You will report direct to the Construction Manager and day to day will be required to liaise with Project/ Site Manager/ Project Engineer/ Site Team for all/ any lifting requirements.

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Plan, co-ordinate, implement Lift Plans for all on-site WGM lifting activities whilst keeping the Project Manager and Site Manager up to date with all relevant information.
    • Ensuring that all personnel involved in all lifting operations have the necessary training, qualifications, and competencies.
    • Executing lifting operations where and when required in line with the approved Lift Plan in place and everyone involved in the operations has been fully briefed, necessary Tool Box Talks have been issued, everyone fully understands the job and what is required from them, and in turn everyone is signed up to all relevant documents.
    • On site duties to include Appointed Lifting Person/ Crane Supervisor/ Slinger Signaller.
    • Ensure you are present during all lifting operations to be undertaken where required, i.e., Complex Lifts, Standard Lifts, Subcontract Lifts
    • Aid the Delivery Team in the assessment of lifting equipment required for all lifts – Cranes, Hi-Abs, Mechanical Aids, etc and liaise with the companies who supply this equipment and assist with the ordering of it.
    • Reviewing of Sub Contractor lift plans and ensure that all relevant briefings take place and are understood.
    • RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statements) – Understanding all elements for the planned in works and risks involved and Lift Plan is devised in accordance with RAMS and/ or amendments to RAMS where required to ensure that safe working practices are developed and in place.
    • Provide reports on completed lifting operations across all our sites.
    • Provide guidance and supervision to the Site Team who are involved with the Lifting Operations.

    To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience within a similar slinger signaller or lifting operational role, the ideal candidate will possess Relevant CPCS – Appointed Person/ Lift Supervisor/ Slinger Signaller as well as excellent knowledge of safe working systems. A valid UK driving license is essential for the role.
