- Culinary Leadership: Lead the kitchen team by setting high culinary standards and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient team. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations and create a postive working experience for everyone working with you.
- Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures in food preparation, presentation, and service to consistently meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Cost Control: Manage kitchen expenses and inventory, including food and labour costs, to ensure budget compliance while maintaining quality.
- Health and Safety: Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, complying with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Innovation: Drive innovation in the kitchen by introducing new cooking techniques, concepts, and seasonal dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Have a real passion for food and menu development
- Have previous experience of creating your own menus and concepts
- Have knowledge of health and safety issues (COSHH etc.), and the ability to train and develop your team in these areas.
- Be friendly and be a team player.
- Eye for detail and the ability to use own initiative
