To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant to come and join our team at our Laybrook factory in Pulborough RH20 2LW.

Responsible:


Quality, Environmental and Energy Assurance testing and data acquisition and analysis.

Role summary


The successful applicant will be a key member of the Technical department delivering excellent time based data and information using appropriate test methods of materials retrieved from across the manufacturing site/ quarry and providing the support to maintain relevant test methods and infrastructure of the laboratory.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sampling/ testing, and analysis of all process materials and finished product.
  • Carry out functional QA, environmental and energy tasks.
  • Collation and processing of daily, weekly and monthly data and information in accordance with Current quality, environmental and energy systems.
  • Ensure the laboratory is maintained to the highest standards of 5S housekeeping and the requirements of Health and safety at work and work within the SSOP system.
  • Assist and develop SSOP and risk assessments.

Education and requirements:


  • Mathematics and English GCSE with an advantage with Chemistry or Physics or relevant experience.
  • Computer literacy with working ability of intermediate Excel and word.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliability, flexibility, enthusiasm and some selfinitiative working as part of a team.
  • Ability to collate, sort and convert data into information.
  • Selfdiscipline and the ability to multitask.
  • Experience in performing QA checks.
