Become a Macmillan Buddy volunteer and support people across Dorset who are struggling after getting a cancer diagnosis or during their treatment.


Are you a good listener and clear communicator? Then we would love you to join our Macmillan Buddy volunteer team in Dorset.

We're looking for Buddy volunteers to provide face-to-face and telephone support across Dorset.


What we're looking for

  • Good listener and clear communicator
  • Patient, flexible and reliable
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding whilst maintaining boundaries
  • Good IT skills in order to access required systems and resources
  • Understand the need to maintain confidentiality
