    Job Title: BPF Futures Programme Manager

    Salary: Circa £40-50k dependent on experience

    The British Property Federation is the trade association for the UK property industry. It also incorporates the Scottish Property Federation and UK Proptech Association (UKPA) as part of the BPF family.

    The BPF Futures programme is open to all real estate professionals with less than 10 years' experience in the industry and provides professionals in the early stages of their career with a forum to network with their peers, gain exposure to senior industry professionals and continue their professional education and development.

    BPF Futures is a fundamental part of the BPF's commitment to building a more diverse and inclusive property sector and BPF Futures members have opportunities to play a part in shaping the BPF's policy work as well as to attend and be part of the BPF's and UKPA's extensive events programme.

    Currently BPF Futures has over 2500 actively engaged members based in England and Scotland who regularly participate in a broad range of events, from lunch-and-learn meetings and networking receptions to site tours and policy congresses. The BPF Futures mentorship programme matches young real estate professionals with industry mentors for a 12-month period, providing an unmatched opportunity to learn from the industry's most senior leaders.

    About the Role: As the BPF Futures Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of BPF Futures, a dynamic platform for emerging leaders within the property sector. You will work closely with the BPF Futures Advisory Board to strategize and execute a comprehensive program of events and engagement aimed at enriching the experiences of members, fostering industry connections, and amplifying the voice of BPF Futures within the broader policy landscape of the BPF and UKPA.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Management of BPF Futures Operations:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of BPF Futures, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to organisational objectives.
    • Act as the secretariat for the Futures Advisory Board (FAB), organising meetings, setting agendas, inviting speakers, and managing administrative tasks.
    • Facilitate the recruitment process for new FAB members as per the established term limits.
    • Maintain regular communication with the FAB Chair to ensure alignment with annual strategic objectives.

    2. Events Management:

    • Develop and manage a strategic calendar of events, both online and face-to-face, including seminars, networking sessions, roundtable discussions, and site visits.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure guest speakers and venues for events.
    • Ensure strong representation and engagement of BPF Futures at core industry events and conferences.

    3. BPF Futures Mentoring Scheme:

    • Oversee the BPF Futures mentoring scheme, including mentor-mentee pairing, communication, and event coordination.
    • Encourage participation from senior leaders and BPF Futures members, providing support and guidance throughout the process.

    4. Communications:

    • Manage all communications for the BPF Futures network, including newsletters, website content, and email inquiries.
    • Maintain and update the BPF Futures webpage and ensure accuracy of member information in the CRM system.
    • Utilize social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, to promote awareness and engagement with the BPF Futures network.

    5. Representation and Advocacy:

    • Establish and nurture relationships with external organisations, property-related entities, and political stakeholders to advocate for the property sector and promote the interests of BPF Futures.
    • Represent BPF Futures at BPF Committees, working groups, and industry events, championing the network's initiatives and objectives.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Proven experience in programme management, event coordination, or related roles ideally within the property or professional services sector.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
    • Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital communication tools.
    • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
    • A passion for fostering talent and innovation.

    Desired:

    • Familiarity with mentoring frameworks and strategies to support mentorship initiatives within professional networks.
    • Understanding of adult learning principles and techniques for facilitating skill development and career advancement.
    • Certification or training in project management, event planning, or related fields is advantageous.
    • Previous involvement in industry associations or networks, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry advocacy.
    • Knowledge of the property industry.
