    Dudley Group has an exciting opportunity within its Health Informatics Team, to help the team lead on analysis and insight.

    The role will hold responsibility for the daily reporting and analytical needs of the hospital, as well as being the lead on specific operational division(s) reporting needs.

    Working closely with all clinical and operational decision makers to ensure patient flow, financial, and patient care standards are met using a wide range of data to drive improvement, monitor performance and highlight inefficiencies in the Trust.

    Successful applicants will require excellent analytic, communication, presentation and customer service skills and have the ability to convey technical and complex statistics and information to ley audiences in an effective and understandable way.

    This role is key in the long term planning and deliveries of the department and will provide the opportunity for the right candidate to develop and make a real difference to the population of Dudley.

    Main duties of the job

    Provide high quality complex analytics in support of Trust Divisional and operational needs. Will be expert in specific Divisional and operational areas of knowledge with a working knowledge of Trust-wide data requirements. Provide cover support across the Relationship Management team and the Business Insight Manager.

    Will be visible and engaged at a Divisional level providing support for performance management and service redesign, translating analytic requirements between informatics and non-informatics stakeholders.

    The role should be improvement focussed in relation to mandated performance monitoring and opportunities to achieve clinical excellence through the support of insight and analysis.

  • Educated to Degree level 6 or relevant equivalent experience.

  • Full understanding of NHS Data Definitions and Data Manual requirements
  • Extensive experience in NHS Information and Hospital Information Systems

  • Practical experience of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Excel to advanced level.
  • Previous experience of staff management.
  • Experience of hospital-based information systems
