    A leading entertainment business is looking for a Lead Counsel, International. This is a newly created role, working on Commercial, Corporate and Compliance matters to manage and mitigate risk, ensure compliance with local laws and company policies, and handle a broad range of general legal matters.

    This is a multi-disciplinary role, including general commercial matters; data protection and privacy; regulatory and compliance; media operations; Corporate/M and, when required, contentious matters and dispute resolution – all of which across all business verticals.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    · Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, in collaboration with other legal colleagues

    · Assisting with contentious matters arising from international offices

    · Assisting the risk and compliance function, including work relating to AML, Data Privacy and local regulatory issues

    · Partnering closely with commercial and legal colleagues, including senior business stakeholders internationally

    To be considered, you should have both corporate and commercial experience and be comfortable working internationally and across complex, matrixed organisations. Ideally, you'll have experience with compliance and data privacy matters; and entertainment industry experience would be a significant advantage. You'll be a UK qualified solicitor with c.10yrs PQE – but this should be taken as a guide only.
