Are you looking to bring your financial reporting expertise to a large, brand name UK Charity? Would you be excited to join a commercially-minded not-for-profit organisation at a critical point in their Transformation programme? Are you looking for flexibilityand the ability to work fully remotely?

My client is a large, brand name charity operating across the UK that has embarked on a major Transformation programme encompassing systems and operations with particular focus on the improvement of a 'value add' service from Finance to the wider business.

They are recruiting for an Interim Head of Financial Reporting on a 12-month FTC with key responsibilities including:

Taking responsibility for the production of monthly management accounting reporting packs for delivery to senior management
Working with and supporting Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners to review commentaries and analysis, providing scrutiny and coaching to improve the quality of reporting
Working with Data Analysts to create bespoke reports using Business Intelligence tools
Building, developing and leading a team covering management accounts and financial accounts
Working towards the standardisation of management accounting processes, systems optimisation and development across the nationwide structure.

This will be a fascinating role giving the right person the opportunity to bring their skills to a huge brand name charity that is undergoing rapid and exciting change.

The organisation has moved away from having a full time office presence and now worksincredibly flexibly, meaning this post can be worked fully remotely.

Longer or shorter contract options can also be considered for the right applicant, and the post could easily develop into a permanent position later down the line.

To be considered, please meet these criteria:

Be a fully qualified accountant with a strong academic background along with prior experience as a senior finance leader with a Business Partnering mentality.
Be a first class communicator and relationship builder, who will have confidence communicating at Executive level just as easily as those in junior positions
Have substantial experience in financial reporting, ideally within the not for profit sector, however those looking to transition from the commercial world to a commercial charity should be just as encouraged to apply.
