    Business Development Director – Automotive
    Remote with global travel
    Up to £92,000 base + quarterly & annual bonuses


    Job Summary:

    This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, highly motivated business development person who is interested in the advancement of audio for the Automotive industry.

    The job to be done is to engage early in the development process with targeted customers to guide them towards the development of new, and in many cases, necessary ways of delivering audio to the vehicle.

    As the Automotive industry continues to evolve at an unprecedented and historical pace, the need for new audio solutions is ever present.

    It is the company's intention to play a leading role in this new vehicle audio landscape. It is within this role that will lead the innovation and penetration into this market.


    Responsibilities:
    # Lead all global business development for their automotive acoustic hardware, including developing current customer relationships and winning new customers
    # Develop and execute a global and regional sales strategy based on the needs of our customers and direction of the company
    # Support and input into their audio roadmap and promote new innovative technologies to our customers
    # Learn and understand the customer's needs and user experience requests, to develop business opportunities, growth areas, new customers, and value-added services
    # Collaborate across internal teams including R&D and Engineering Services teams to build dedicated business development plans for targeted key customers
    # Prepare pitch presentation and demo, plan and organize visit to prospect
    # Support account teams to create quotations, negotiation and win customer contracts
    # Follow new technology and innovation trends in automotive and audio
    # Attend seminars, conferences, and industry events to promote their Automotive vertical


    Essential Skills and Experience:
    At least 5 or more years of Business development experience for automotive
    Business or engineering/product background in automotive industry, car audio business development experience preferred
    Strong business acumen, with the ability to think strategically and see the bigger picture
    The ability to listen and to truly understand the customers needs, 'pinch points' with the ability to turn clients' conceptual needs into PoC to develop business opportunities and enhance product innovation
    Ability to articulate solutions and explain the benefit of the product clearly and professionally, at a level the customer can understand and relate to
    The ability to work in a fast-paced 'start-up' environment, with resilience, working both independently and collaboratively
    Good understanding of the automotive supply business; sourcing and the procurement process
    Proven success in building relationships with the 'decision makers'
    Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally abroad
    Proficient at using Microsoft packages

    Desired Skills and Experience:
    Previous Automotive experience and background
    Degree or above
    Experience in the automotive audio industry
    Experience in a multinational company
