    Planning Officer

    Hybrid - Midlands

    £35,000 - £45,000

They are actively seeking a Planning Officer to reinforce their team with expertise and vision. In this position, you'll drive their in-house professional planning capabilities to new heights, underlining their commitment to excellence in every project.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and complete planning applications, ensuring thorough adherence to all statutory steps and requirements.
    • Build and maintain influential relationships with key stakeholders, emphasising the importance of collaboration in every endeavour.
    • Guide and review outputs from specialist consultants, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
    • Provide valuable planning advice to internal teams, supporting both ongoing and new developmental initiatives.
    • Stay updated on third-party proposals and local development plan changes, positioning the company for effective strategic responses.
    • Ensure all planning activities and ventures strictly comply with relevant statutory regulations and guidelines.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • A background with 1-5 years as a Planning Officer or in a similar, with experience in complex commercial developments
    • An accreditation from the RTPI or similar would be a considerable advantage.
    • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel regionally on an ad-hoc basis

    There is the opportunity for this role to be based near several office hubs including East/ West Birmingham, Derby, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and North London. Candidates from outside these areas are still welcome to apply where working arrangements can be further discussed.
