- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and financial controls stipulated in the Group finance manual.
- Manage relationships and produce information as required by the Group's auditors, insurers and legal advisors.
- Appointed as the finance lead on a group wide commercial excellence project to implement the COINs contra charge workbench into the business.
- Support the Finance Director at board meetings, sales & build meetings and weekly management team meetings.
- Act as the key point of contact for Group Treasury, Internal Audit and Tax, produce information and explanations to satisfy their requirements.
- Team management, including appraisals, training and performance management.
- Assist the IT Systems team to identify operational issues with COINs and other software packages .
- Produce the monthly board report and assist with the monthly and year end group reporting.
- Lead the month end reporting process, ensuring the timely production of the management accounts in line with Group reporting deadlines.
- Responsible for the maintenance and control of all the divisions ledgers, including general ledger, cash book, sales and purchase/subcontract ledger.
- Assist the Finance Director in producing the long-range plans and forecasts for the business unit.

Description
Reed Finance is looking for an ACA,ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant to join the team as a Financial Controller with an established property and construction company.
Based in Southampton the role will see you overseeing a small team of finance assistants and acting as no2 to the Finance Director.
Previous experience within the property and construction sector is a desirable, ideally with a working knowledge of COINs.
