Our Business Service Team are seeking an experienced Management Support Assistant to work closely with the Senior Management team (Managing Partner, Heads of Department, Directors) with proactive support in respect to their leadership roles.

This role will be reporting directly into the Director of Premises and Operations.


The Role:


  • Proactively supports the Senior Management team with strategic and operational projects as and when required
  • Provide relevant administrative and integration support, including joiners, and leavers, notification to relevant external organisations (bank, insurers etc), formally recording changes in our minute book, distribution lists etc
  • Liaise regularly with the Senior Management team to understand their work commitments and prioritise your workload accordingly.
  • Identify / suggest ways in which the Senior Management team can be more effective
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements for the Senior Management team, or delegate as appropriate
  • Coordinate, as needed, reports and relevant financial data, which may be shared with Board and/or the wider Partner group
  • Keep track of invoicing, spend and budgets
  • Develop good knowledge of the firm's accounts procedures.
  • Provide administrative support for the processing of partner capital and statements
  • Assist in development and publication of firmwide communications as and when required, including drafting and sending comms on behalf of the Managing Partner or members of the Senior Management team
  • Undertake research (potential) suppliers and new projects, business initiatives or opportunities, including putting together briefing packs as and when required. Collate information for preparation of internal updates or reports, preparing the first draft of information where appropriate.
  • Support the Senior Management team with social media activities
  • Liaise with support departments to resolve problems on the Senior Management Team's behalf, taking ownership of the issue and following up where appropriate
  • Provide assistance in organising and potentially attending offsite Partner and Director conferences/meetings. Note occasional meetings may take place outside of office hours, so flexibility of working pattern is desirable.

Experience and Qualifications Required:


  • Recent previous experience as a PA/EA in a fastpaced and commercial environment, including supporting at a Senior Management/C-Suite level
  • Fast, accurate typing skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and data management systems
  • Strong team working skills, with a willingness to help others.
  • Able to cope well under pressure and with changing priorities.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative.


This role is based in either our Bristol or Exeter offices and we are open to considering this permanent opportunity on flexible working hours.
