    This is a unique opportunity for a Technical Director to join one of the UK's most interesting food manufacturing companies. As the Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing technical operations across a number of food manufacturing sites.

    Role

    As part of the senior leadership team, the Technical Director has a diverse range of responsibilities including:

    • Developing and implementing a comprehensive technical strategy to drive food safety and quality with a focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of the supply chain.
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications, maintaining the highest levels of food safety and quality.
    • Champion and drive the implementation of new technologies, processes, and best practices to optimise operational performance and meet evolving customer demands.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including innovation, production, supply chain, and commercial, to support product development, launch, and lifecycle management.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to anticipate and address potential challenges and opportunities.

    Person

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter, someone who has experience of senior technical management within the food industry and has the gravitas to operate in a senior role within a dynamic business. Key requirements include:

    • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and experience with relevant certifications.
    • Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and driving operational excellence.
    • Excellent understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Outstanding communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, delivering tangible results.
