Job DescriptionFor our Global Packaging Technology External Manufacturingorganization, we are looking for an:

Associate Director External Manufacturing Engineering –remoteThis is a remote position and can be based in Amsterdam or Oss(The Netherlands), Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium), Madrid (Spain), Cramlington(UK) or Dublin (Ireland) and requires an amount of travel between 10% and20% of the time throughout Europe.

With our extensiverange of facilities and environments, the Engineers have opportunitiesacross many diverse areas including equipment, documentation, materials,and distribution.
Purpose of the roleIn this role you will be responsible for leading the technicalinterface with external packaging partners. These partners are ContractManufacturing Organizations (CMO's) in the External Manufacturing(ExM) space.

You will collaborate with other functions (Quality,Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement) and specialist centers ofexcellence in the Science & Technology network where needed.

Working under general scientific and administrative direction, you willleverage experience gained on scientific, technical, and business issues,to lead the technical interface between our company and packaging projectteams and advise technical staff to solve complex packaging problems.

Youwill generate and analyze scientific data, report the resulting informationand capture and disseminate knowledge in standard format for current andfuture use.

As a member of the ExM Packaging Focus Factory team, establish clearexpectations, measure and monitor operational and quality performanceassociated with external packaging partners periodically; Lead complex changes of packaging images and primary, secondary, andtertiary materials/components and thermal transport/storage systems; Your profile RequiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Science,Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, orsimilar; 5+ years of hands-on experience with packaging operations support,packaging materials/components, and packaging processes;2+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical site or ExternalManufacturing role (Operations, Technology, or Quality); Significant experience with packaging operations support, packagingmaterials/ components, and packaging processes; Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

PreferredExperience with solid oral dose packaging; Experience with combination product packaging; Experience with key manufacturing compliance and business systems:
