Not just another building society. Not just another job.

We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation.

We don't have shareholders, we're owned by our members.

Our colleague say Skipton's a great place to work and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.

Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.

Job Description:

What You'll Be Doing

This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to start or progress their financial service career for a sector leading lender.

As a Mortgage Administrator you will be responsible for chasing outstanding information from Brokers, liaising with Conveyancers and handling all queries relating to mortgage completion.

Finally, you will be an ambassador for the Mortgage Lending team, contributing to the overall performance of the whole department whilst being happy to accept and provide feedback in a constructive manner.

As you develop within the role you will be at the forefront of improving our processes to make the customer journey as good as it can be.

What You'll Bring

It goes without saying you'll need to be highly organised and flexible, with the ability to find an alternative when something doesn't work.

You'll be a great talker, an even better listener with an energy and passion for getting things done, whilst building and maintaining great relationships.

As part of building those great relationships, teamwork is essential so having a cohesive approach will be advantageous.

An ability to stay calm and focused under pressure is essential, and you'll be the sort of person who doesn't compromise on quality and accuracy just because there's a high workload.

We care about our colleagues. So we treat each other like the complex and diverse individuals we are.

Work here is never one-size-fits-all, it flexes around your strengths and needs,

Everyone is held accountable for achieving our common purpose.

The aim is for all of us to do better work, have a better life and enjoy a better balance between the two.
