    About the role

    This is an exciting opportunity for an motivated individual to develop innovative diagnostic tests to clinical application using targeted proteomic technology. The post is for a Research assistant who will work in the UCL Biological Mass Spectrometry Centre in the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health The post commences from May/June under the supervision of Dr Kevin Mills, Dr Wendy Heywood & Dr Tom Baldwin The successful applicant will be responsible for providing assistance with research projects, developing targeted proteomic assays to clinical standard for industry collaborations, implementing Good clinical laboratory practise and analysing large cohorts of samples using tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) methods. This post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.

    About you

    Applicants must have been awarded a BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject. Experience in performing routine laboratory analysis is essential. Candidate must have the ability to efficiently organise their work and communicate effectively.
