ROLE TITLE: Disaster Recovery Manager
Possibility of remote work: Hybrid, attending the office on and as needed
Contract duration: 9 – 12 months
Location: London, Fenchurch Avenue
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Must have experience in Cloud solutions and services preferably in Azure including knowledge of disaster recovery tooling.
• Experience of modern architectural practices using containerization would be beneficial
REQUIRED CORE SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Infrastructure: Create recovery plans for infrastructure and applications, manage distributed computing infrastructure, and ensure application recoverability on shared and dedicated infrastructure
• Business Continuity: Understand business processes and ensuring their continuity during disruptions is crucial. The Candidate must be able to develop and maintain business continuity plans to minimize downtime.
• Project Management: Managing recovery projects involves planning, execution, and coordination. Proficiency in project management methodologies is essential.
• Business Impact Analysis: Assessing the impact of disruptions on critical systems helps prioritize recovery efforts. The Candidate must be able to analyze risks and vulnerabilities.
• Impact Analysis: Beyond technical aspects, evaluate the broader impact of disasters on business operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with best practices and evolving technologies to ensure effective disaster recovery strategies.
• Recovery Procedures: The Candidate must be able to create and validate recovery procedures for data, applications, and infrastructure.
• Recovery Programs: Implementing and maintaining recovery programs to safeguard against data loss and system downtime.

• Effective Communication: Proper communication, documentation, and training are key to successful recovery and business continuity plans.

• Vendor Management: Coordinating with vendors for services like data backup, cloud solutions, and recovery facilities.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing deficiencies, tracking progress, and adapting strategies as needed.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all critical components are covered in recovery plans. 4
• Leadership: Defining action plans and guiding teams during crisis situations and maintaining a calm approach.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
