    As our 'Marketing Automation Specialist' you'll be responsible for designing and implementing multi-channel communications in the B2C environment. The Marketing Automation Specialist will help to identify and close gaps in a customer's journey and provide solutions for missed opportunities from online conversions.

    This role will suit an individual who is able to prioritise, plan and execute operational and marketing activities and collaborate across teams. It is essential that the Marketing Automation Specialist has a background in digital marketing and automation tools and enjoys digital problem solving. The ideal candidate will have experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionalities, specifically Journey Builder, Automation Studio.

    The role is part of the Marketing team and will require the Marketing Automation Specialist to work closely with IT, the field team, Customer Services and Compliance to identify communication gaps, and implement automation workflows. The role will also be closely aligned to our Proposition and product team, working collaboratively to help position the communication ask in an engaging way to customers.

    This role with report to the Senior Marketing Manager.

    The ideal candidate would have experience of:

    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or a similar platform), creating journeys and setting up automations. With the input and support of IT for creation of Data extensions.
    • Technical problem solving and presenting digital solutions to help support the customer along their journey and aligned to the business' objectives.
    • Exceptional organisational, presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
    • 3-5 years of professional experience in campaign execution and operations, marketing automation, digital communications, database marketing and data analysis.
    • Solid knowledge of HTML, developing emails, webforms and webpages.
    • Strong analytical skills and understanding of reporting, ability to identify development and enhancement requirements.
    • Logical approach to problem solving and solution driven.
    • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
    • Capacity to think critically, learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
    • Email creation and copy writing – however this is not essential.

    Key responsibilities

    • Creating customer journeys to help conversion, missed opportunities, improve customer retention, and support customers throughout their journey with us; both online and offline.
    • Implementing key trigger points in Marketing Cloud Journey Builder to communicate, support and enhance the customer's experience.
    • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to leverage customer journeys and data strategies to develop and implement marketing automation solutions.
    • Create high quality customer experience through use of digital and offline channels, interactive journeys, and triggered engagements.
    • Understand measurement methodologies, why we need them and when to use them (A/B testing, Control testing etc).
    • Reporting on performance of emails, SMS and other key deliverables responsible for.
    • Design, structure and map data sources for marketing solutions.
