    Job Description

    We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to join our growing team.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the financial health and strategic direction of a dynamic and purpose-driven company.

    This is a broad role where you will be working closely with the CFO and the business to support the growth of the company. The role encompasses aspects of financial and management accounting, month/year end reporting, budgeting/forecasting and business partnering activities.

    Key responsibilities, to include:

    · Develop and manage the preparation of monthly management accounts including performance analysis to feed into Board reporting

    · Ensure accounting records (currently Xero) are maintained in an accurate and timely manner including robust month end controls

    · Oversee financial operations including billing, debtor collections, accounts payable and expenses

    · Support cashflow forecasting and help maintain robust working capital management

    · Provide business partnering to business units (mainly account managers) to help embed best practice process and controls, and support commercial and operattional decision making

    · Support budgeting and forecasting

    · Oversee VAT compliance

    · Prepare annual R&D tax credit submission

    · Manage year end accounts preparation

    · Ad hoc projects as the business requires

    · Manage, lead and develop the Assistant Accountant

    Skills & Experience

    · Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

    · 2+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar finance role.

    · Strong understanding of financial accounting

    · Excellent financial system skills (Xero or similar)

    · Experience with developing reporting

    · A desire to look for and drive continual improvement in financial processes and controls, as well as the wider business and operational processes

    · Must be able work in a fast-paced business, and thrive in and help deliver change

    · A genuine interest in the environment and combating climate change
