- Understand and evaluate fleet needs for new contracts across the Group.
- Develop and maintain detailed fleet delivery schedules to ensure buses are delivered promptly to operating companies.
- Plan and suggest fleet cascades between operating companies.
- Work with the maintenance team to plan and organize refurbishments of existing buses.
- Oversee and track the progress of refurbishment projects to ensure they are completed within set timelines and budgets.
- Manage fleet disposals to ensure optimal income.
- Monitor and analyze the fleet's age profile, identifying opportunities for optimization and replacement.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to plan and execute fleet renewal strategies, maintaining an ideal balance between fleet age and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest innovations and technological advancements in the bus manufacturing sector.
- Evaluate the feasibility and potential advantages of adopting new technologies and features in our fleet.
- Prior experience in fleet management or scheduling coordination is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the bus industry and its operational hurdles can be beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial to handle multiple delivery schedules and refurbishment projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on fleet performance metrics, age profiles, and operational needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, bus manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities to identify and tackle operational challenges, optimize fleet usage, and devise innovative solutions for enhanced efficiency.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise scheduling, refurbishment monitoring, and compliance with contract specifications.
- Proficiency in utilizing scheduling software, fleet management systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
