Technical Sales Engineer

The Role:

The Technical Sales Engineer will be our client's go to person for Architects, Structural, and Civil Engineers who work with pre-cast concrete and façade solutions within commercial projects.

The Technical Sales Engineer will bespecifying a range of lifting & fixing solutions for large projects across the UK. The specifications that will be worked on range from small £50k assignments through to £2m+ projects on prestigious buildings.

The sales cycle can be in excess of six monthsand requires a lot of relationship building, organisation, and technical competence to manage the projects through to completion.


The Technical Sales Engineer will have an engineering mindset, be able to offer support, advice, and guidance to specifiers on large projects, and be able to present CPD's.

The Technical Sales Engineer will take a specification through to the point of tender,at this point they will involve a Key Account Manager who will deal with the Contractors until closing the deal.

Our client are a well-established family run organisation who specialise in fixing solutions for the construction sector.

They design, manufacture, and engineer fixing solutions for a wide array of commercial projects and havea very dynamic leadership team who are looking to take the business to the next level.

They have some high-value partnerships with other well known manufacturers in the fixing sector so they can offer a much broader range of solutions for their clients.

Theyhave major expansion plans for the first quarter of 2023 and this role is intrinsic to that success.


We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a background in selling fixing & fastening solutions into commercial projects
  • Understand working on big projects with Structural & Civil Engineers
  • Can read technical drawings
  • Has an engineering degree or equivalent
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
  • Understanding of Main & Sub Contractor sales cycles and process

Salary:
£45,000 Basic Salary + £15k-20k Bonus (paid quarterly), Company Car Allowance (£400p/m), Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 25 days' holiday + stats
