Description

Job Purpose:


  • To operate equipment in the mixing plant department, mixing raw material to supply production with required blend to meet production demands.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Perform QA checks of incoming goods and unload where necessary
Ensure production record documentation accurately completed

  • Oversee the operation of the mixing plant to ensure the supply of material to production
Perform basic maintenance on the mixing plant and associated equipment; blade changes, screen changes, ducting replacement, etc

  • Drive FLT to unload incoming raw materials, transport required material to production departments
Conduct pre-start safety checks to ensure safety of self and others

  • Maintain the required throughput rates and explain any downtime
  • Maintain high standard of housekeeping at all times
  • Perform full recorded quality checks at set frequency in line with procedures
  • Arrive for work 5 minutes before shift starts wearing full company uniform

Key Experiences:


  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work both under supervision of others and own supervision


Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Work in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Ability to drive combitruck / counterbalance FLTs
