    Senior Surveyor Requirement (Manchester)

Our client is a versatile consultancy offering top-tier services in surveying, engineering, project management, and fire safety across England and Wales. Specializing in fire engineering, building surveying, cost consultancy, and project management, our client stands as a leading firm in managing high-risk buildings within residential, mixed-use, university, and college sectors, including student accommodations.

Our client is actively seeking a talented and skilled senior surveyor professional to work across both advisory and consultant roles, with a focus on project-driven aspects. The role expects the candidate to handle multiple projects, acting as a contract administrator or lead consultant/project manager. Responsibilities include core building surveying functions such as defects diagnosis, planned maintenance programming, landlord and tenant matters, reinstatement cost assessments, party wall issues, and general advice.

Suitably qualified and experienced quantity surveyors are also encouraged to apply, especially those with project management, cost, and contract knowledge to complement any lack of experience in non-project building surveying skills.

Projects will vary in value from approximately £500K to £6m, covering exterior renovation contracts, internal common parts and design work, private refurbishment projects, and major façade remediation schemes. A thorough understanding and experience with the JCT suite of contracts are essential, with knowledge of other contracts such as NEC being beneficial. The ideal candidate should possess experience in various procurement routes and forms of contract, along with the ability to effectively lead a project team. A self-motivated, efficient, and organized individual with an all-around high-achiever mindset is sought after.

    Location & Flexible Working:

This national role, primarily focused on England and Wales, will be based in our client's Manchester office, with a bias towards The North-West. The role will involve site inspections and meetings, and a hybrid combination of in-office and remote working is anticipated.
