- HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Electronics or Mechatronics.
- 1+ Years' industrial design / support / testing experience.
- Knowledge of various electronic applications relating to Industrial Automation and Control.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Some knowledge of PLC's and ladder or Structured Text programming.
- A good understanding of industrial communications protocols such as EtherNet IP, PROFINET and/or IO-Link.

An Industrial Automation Engineer with a good understanding of Industrial communication protocols will get involved with a range of tasks from setting up and programming PLC's, motor drivers and industrial communications to performing fault diagnosis, delivering training and providing technical product support.

The role: The successful Industrial Automation Engineer answer technical questions, assist with customer applications and perform fault diagnosis for a range of products including motion control and/or actuators. You'll also set up and programme PLC's. motor drivers and industrial communications, thriving on challenges and possessing confidence to work within a customer / people facing role. You'll get to create and deliver training courses as well as creating operating manuals. Occasional travel to Europe will be part of the role.
