We are currently seeking a highly motivatedand experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Music ata brilliant school in Harrow. This exciting opportunity is set tostart in September and is perfect for individuals passionate aboutmusic education within the primary/secondary educationindustry.

As the Head of Music you will beresponsible for leading and managing the music department at theschool overseeing the delivery of highquality music education tostudents. You will work closely with students teachers parents andother stakeholders to create a positive and inclusive learningenvironment that fosters a love for music.

Responsibilities

• Leadand manage the music department providing guidance and support to ateam of music teachers
• Develop the schoolsmusic curriculum ensuring alignment with national standards andeducational requirements
• Plan and deliverengaging and interactive music lessons to students across differentage groups and abilities
• Identify and nurturemusical talent among students providing opportunities forperformances and competitions
• Organize andcoordinate music events including concerts recitals andworkshops
• Collaborate with other departmentswithin the school to integrate music into crosscurricularactivities
• Stay uptodate with industry trendsand developments in music education incorporating innovativeteaching methods andtechnologies

Requirements

• Adegree in Music Education or a relatedfield
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) orequivalent
• Extensive experience as a musicteacher with a proven track record of delivering outstanding musiceducation
• Strong leadership and managementskills with the ability to inspire and motivate ateam
• Excellent knowledge of music theoryhistory and practical skills
• Ability to planand deliver dynamic and engaging musiclessons
• Effective communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to build positiverelationships with students teachers parents and otherstakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant industrystandards and educational requirements including nationalcurriculum guidelines for musiceducation.
