Description
As Project Manager, you will be reporting into the Operations Manager.

You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of projects throughout the UK ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

You will demonstrate excellentorganisation, communication, problem solving abilities and a client-focused approach.

In addition, you will coach, develop and manage the Project team, ensuring staff resources are effectively utilised at all times.

You will also be responsible for the preparationof documentation as required such as; contracts, risk assessments & method statements, health & safety plans etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for opening and closing the unit at the start and end of each day, and controlling access throughout the day
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of the project schedule ensuring the prestart checks have been completed, the assets have been booked and all key details have been passed to the scheduling and field teams where required in order to facilitate a smoothstart to each project
  • Maintain timely communication with the field team, appropriate suppliers and the client throughout the duration of the project to ensure any changes or issues are dealt with as quickly as possible in order to minimise disruption to the client and mitigateany cost of loss
  • Anticipate and react to project changes or problems, ensuring solutions are put in place as quickly as possible whilst maintaining a positive and proactive approach
  • Review, edit, and approve final reports summarising deliverables and attendance at the close of a project
  • Approve invoices for Client billing based on records of attendances and suppliers utilized.
  • Liaise with the sales team and clients in order to consult on projects in the prestart or quote stage, attending in person or web meetings as required
  • Maintain awareness of the valuation of each project and update with additional costs and uplifted quotes as the project progresses. Monitoring and ensuring visibility of profit margins, client charges and supplier costs at all times
  • Supplier management, including; Identifying appropriate suppliers and complete on boarding processes, maintaining supplier rate comparison documents to enable the business in making informed commercial decisions, evaluating the performance of suppliersand manage disputes where required
  • Ensuring any changes to supplier bookings are communicated in a timely manner
  • Management of field team when onsite at live projects, ensuring they have clear instructions and guidance where required
  • Management of the project team, including recruitment, training, performance management and development
  • Build strong relationships with client via timely, open and honest communication, with their best interests in mind at all times
  • Build meaningful relationships with the field team based on trust, respect and support
  • When client disputes arise, investigate the issues fully and liaise with the client in order to settle the dispute via an amicable agreement in order to facilitate future works where required
  • Point of escalation for all safety matters on site, including but not limited to ordinance discovery in line with existing company procedures
  • Generating bespoke paperwork such as method statements for unique projects where specialized PPE, services, or on site attendances require risk considerations or methodologies outside of normal practice
  • Assist the Operations Manager with overall department development including process improvement and strategy
  • Be on call to manage any out of hours projects during evenings and weekends where required.
  • Carry out additional hours as required by the needs of the business; this includes taking occasional out
