Technical Product Manager

Northampton


As a Barclays Technical Product Manager, you will take a key strategic position accountable for the optimisation and streamlining of the end-to-end management of our customer journeys.

This will have a heavy focus on client integrations enabling them to take payments online, instore and via omni as fast and as smoothly as possible.

You will be offering 3rd line support to resolve detailed Gateway challenges for clients and internal stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting in ideating initiatives with both internal teams and 3rd party suppliers to facilitate smoother and faster integration cycles as well as higher win rates
  • Working with digital and servicing ops teams to streamline process and productise integration services where possible
  • Engaging with product management, engineering, client services and marketing teams to ensure that the client support team remain aware of newly released features
  • Executing against Integration servicing strategy and developing new channels and proactive means to assist customers through integration
  • Delivering against the Developer enablement agenda, and overarching partnerships and plugins strategy
  • Championing a culture where all colleagues comprehend and follow the framework within which the bank follows risk and takes accountability for ensuring this
  • Being accountable for ensuring that processes, risks, and controls are applied in way that achieves a good outcome for the bank and its customers/clients

What we're looking for:


  • Experience of Payments technology markets with a good grasp of integration solutions enabling payment services to clients (e.g., shopping cart plugins)
  • Good knowledge of Acquiring technologies and Expert knowledge of associated compliance
  • Knowledge of web and app technologies (e.g., HTTP protocols, coding languages and methodologies)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially focused on written skills to help deliver relevant collateral using the 'voice of the customer'

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Expert knowledge of GPA eCommerce products and the environment including Customer Service functions
  • Proficient knowledge of the integration of webbased solutions APIs and the like
  • Ability to speak the language of the web developer, and review and debug web code and associated outputs

Where will you be working?

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff.

The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
