Description
You will play an important role in the efficient operation of the venue, ensuring administrative tasks are handled professionally, promptly, and effectively.
Sutton Coldfield Town Hall is a Grade A locally listed Edwardian heritage theatre, arts, and community venue. With a seating capacity of c.400, with the addition of 4 multipurpose rooms, boasting regal charm which adds a special ambience to all the events they host here.
What we need from you as an Administrator:
- Previous
experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably in an events or theatre venue environment - Proficient in using office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant administrative tools
Strong organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a teamoriented environment and independently when required
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks
- Fluent in the English language written, to listen and speak, and the ability to write fluently
What the role involves:
- Organise, file, and manage various documents (electronically and in hard copy where required), ensuring easy retrieval and maintaining confidentiality
- Assist in planning and coordinating schedules, appointments, and bookings
- Act as a point of contact to support teams for internal communication and manage correspondence with external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and partners in collaboration with other departments
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and spreadsheets, ensuring all information is uptodate and easily accessible
- Keep a check on office supplies and place orders when necessary, ensuring the efficient operation of the venue
- Assist in organising meetings, including setting up conference rooms, preparing materials, and taking minutes
- Assist various departments in creating and compiling reports and other admin tasks when needed
- Process invoices, handle petty cash, and assist with basic financial tasks as required.
Salary/hours:
National Minimum Wage - £10.42 per hour, age dependant. Working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.
