Things are changing at George Eliot The trust is developing and advancing providing great care to our local population.

As part of a Foundation Group with two other acute trusts (South Warwickshire Foundation Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust) we are driving forward excellence in care for our patients.

Very close working relationships with our partners in the community and in Primary care is a key component to our improvement journey.

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides Acute Medical and Surgical, Maternity, Paediatric, Geriatric, ITU and Out Patient facilities. The Hospital has a busy Accident & Emergency Department and thriving specialist departments.

Its relatively small size is associated with positive and supportive culture and a friendly collaborative atmosphere hard to come by in larger units.

Following recent substantial investment, George Eliot has expanded its provision to ten operating theatres for General, Colo-rectal, Urology, Gynaecology, Trauma, Orthopaedic, Dental, Day Case, Ophthalmology and Pain procedures.

A dedicated Emergency CEPOD Theatre is open 24 hours a day. Further developments in the Trust are anticipated as George Eliot Hospital is looking to invest further in our services.

There is a current compliment of 16 substantive and 4 locum Consultants in department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine.

We pride ourselves in being a very friendly and welcoming department, always supportive of each other and working together to provide highest quality of care to our patients.

We are looking to appoint full time Consultant with interest in chronic pain.

We invite enthusiastic applicants who have completed Specialist training in Anaesthesia or equivalent to join us and enrich the department further.

This post will offer the opportunity to be closely involved in the digital development of Anaesthetics department and the wider Trust.
