    We have a great position that has recently become available in our Finance team for an Actuarial Transformation Analyst, reporting into our Lead Transformation Actuary.

    We are looking for an ambitious, collaborative and enthusiastic candidate who is looking to continue on to the next step of their Actuarial career.

    As part of the Actuarial Transformation team, your role will be to develop and support our capability for transforming our Actuarial reserving processes across our data, methodologies, assumptions, results output and monitoring.

    You will have the opportunity to explore how analytic tools can help the Actuarial team and the wider business through increased efficiency and added insight.

    The role has a strong emphasis on simplification and advancement of processes through automation and coding.

    The role is hybrid between working from home and in the office and can be based out of either our Guildford or our London office, though some travel will be required between the two.

    Development and maintenance of automated, repeatable processes within Actuarial
    Development and maintenance of an Actuarial database for use in reserving, business analysis and reporting
    Work closely with the Actuarial team and wider stakeholders to develop processes that meet their needs
    Work with architects and data scientists, provide technical input into matching the best technology to the use case and develop an ongoing process
    Actively championing analytics within Actuarial and wider Finance team.

    Become one of a group of experts who can coach business SMEs as part of handover to ensure capability continues to grow across the business.

    To be responsible for maintaining standards around the use and access to data, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulatory factors, and use and maintenance of actuarial processes
    Student of Institute of Actuaries or equivalent with General Insurance reserving experience.
    Knowledge and capability of market leading BI and analytics tools / processes e.g. R, Python, SQL, MicroStrategy, Power BI
    Experience and knowledge of best practice data management, extraction, analysis and manipulation

    A strong academic record, with at least a 2:1 degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Business.

    Quick to learn, ability to prioritise activities and responsive to the needs of the business
