    Job Description

    The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will work with the SCI team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by implementing rigorous testing processes and methodologies. They will play a critical role in software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with the team to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks to product quality. They will be key to ensuring our products are usable and accurate.

    Responsibilities:

    • Working with development team, product owners and other stakeholders across the business to deliver quality product.
    • Performing exploratory testing on the application.
    • Writing and executing manual test cases.
    • Carrying out regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
    • Coaching fellow QA members in test case creation.
    • Becoming an expert on the product.
    • Building a suite of automated tests for UI and API services.
    • Encouraging test automation at appropriate levels.
    • Building efficient pipelines and ensuring automated tests are run as part of the pipelines.
    • Constantly working towards improving the release process.
    • Using tools and techniques for monitoring infrastructure, application logs, metrics, and traces.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of experience in software testing / quality assurance .
    • Experience with web-based application testing.
    • Experience testing Rest APIs using tools like tools like Postman or similar.
    • Experience in UI automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
    • Experience in non-functional testing, including performance and security, using tools like JMeter, k6, or similar.
    • Experience in writing basic SQL queries / joins for database testing.
    • Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines to run automated tests.
    • Experience with AWS cloud computing services is a bonus.

    Skills

    • Knowledge of JavaScript.
    • Be updated with latest testing tools and industry best practices.
    • Ability to build testing infrastructure and set up automation framework from scratch.
    • Ability to explore new tools and techniques and fill gaps in test automation.
    • Ability to coach developers about quality to ensure shared understanding about quality expectations.
    • Ability to coach and mentor fellow QA engineers in line with industry standards and best practices.
    • Knowledge of DevOps principles.
    • Very good communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Fluency in English.
