    Our multidisciplinary team is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist with experience in hospital rehabilitation programs and varied acute casemix to join our team.

    Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital.

    We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
    We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit.

    A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region.

    Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

    You will plan, assess, implement and evaluate clinical care in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.


    • Contribute to the coordination of clinical care whilst working in partnership with the allied health team, nursing and non-clinical staff providing direct and indirect clinical input, direction and guidance
    • Incorporate the provision of education and support to patients and their carer/family for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation and discharge plans
    • Conduct individual and group therapy programs
    • Commit to an ongoing learning and professional development portfolio to ensure case mix requirements are supported and registration requirements are met. Generalist acute clinical experience, including hospital-based rehabilitation with 2-5 years post-graduate experience

    • Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
