Shift Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled) - Co. Tyrone

Salary: £46.5K (inclusive of shift premium) + Strong benefits package

Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our food manufacturing client based in Co. Tyrone to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Our client is a local employer of choice and one of Europe's leading firms within their market.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in their day-to-day operations, ensuring that machine and equipment downtime is utilised efficiently. Duties will include:

1. Developing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules and ensuring that these are followed.
2. Carrying out fault-finding & repairs on a wide range of both mechanical & electrical systems.
3. Reacting to and prioritising breakdowns in line with production requirements.
4. Assisting with new equipment/machinery installations, working closely with outside contractors when required.
5. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and consistently monitoring equipment efficiency and suggesting changes & improvements where appropriate.
6. Maintaining clear and accurate records pertaining to the above.

What you will need:

• Time-served Electrical OR Mechanical apprenticeship.
• Experience working in a similar role, with a strong working knowledge of automated production machinery.
• Strong overall Electrical & Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills relating to these systems.
• 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations (highly desirable).
• Strong level of computer literacy and ability to use electronic record keeping/monitoring systems.
