- Developing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules and ensuring that these are followed.
- Carrying out fault-finding & repairs on a wide range of both mechanical & electrical systems.
- Reacting to and prioritising breakdowns in line with production requirements.
- Assisting with new equipment/machinery installations, working closely with outside contractors when required.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and consistently monitoring equipment efficiency and suggesting changes & improvements where appropriate.
- Maintaining clear and accurate records pertaining to the above.
- Time-served Electrical OR Mechanical apprenticeship.
- Experience working in a similar role, with a strong working knowledge of automated production machinery.
- Strong overall Electrical & Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills relating to these systems.
- 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations (highly desirable).
- Strong level of computer literacy and ability to use electronic record keeping/monitoring systems.
