We are partnering with a dynamic business located in Hook, who are seeking a talented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their team. Our client is committed to delivering exceptional products and is looking for a dedicated individual to support their finance department.
As a Part-Time Accounts Assistant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and assist with various accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the finance department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain the purchase ledger by recording transactions, reconciling statements, and resolving any discrepancies.
• Manage the sales ledger, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with general accounting tasks, such as bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and expense tracking.
• Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing documents, organising records, and responding to inquiries.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong administrative experience is essential if you do not have accounts based experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
• Available to start immediately.

This is a part-time position offering 25 hours per week, made of 4-5 hours per day across 5 days per week. The role is temporary to permanent, with the opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
