We're hiring for a Finance Team Leader at JCB Insurance.

JCB Insurance is an Insurance Broker, established in 1984 that is wholly owned by the JCB Excavator Group.

This means that we have over 35 years experience in providing advice and Insurance solutions, tailored to the specific requirements of each customer, all at a competitive price.


You'll be responsible for managing and developing the Finance team and be responsible for the financial systems controls and regulatory compliance for JCB Insurance.


Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Monitor and review financial systems and controls to ensure regulatory compliance is met and adhered to
  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts, annual Budget and Year End Pack in line with JCB Group guidelines
  • Successfully manage, lead and motivate direct reports through constructive feedback, conducting appraisals, incentives and promoting general team spirit, ensuring company procedures are followed and deadlines met
  • Prepare and present financial/statistical analysis reports for the Senior Management Team and the Board
  • Manage external supplier relationships including Insurers, Auditors and Premium Finance Companies as and when required
  • Complete quarterly FCA financial returns and upload onto Connect
  • Report monthly cash balances to JCB Group
  • Carry out daily duties within the Accounts Team as required
  • Assist in other areas of the Business to ensure the smooth running of the office as and when required

About You:

  • Minimum of 15 hours CPD annually to be achieved
  • You'll be an approachable forward thinking team leader who can get the best out of people.
  • Completion of annual Fit & Proper declaration
  • Tasks to be completed in line with the Financial Systems and Controls manual
  • You'll have previous experience of producing annual audits internally and externally
  • You'll have previous experience of managing a small team
  • You'll have previous experience of being accountable for reporting company accounts.
  • You'll be organised and conscientious
  • You'll have an AAT qualification as a minimum
