Description

Open Palm exists to create an equal start line for young people from underrepresented ethnic and social backgrounds. Our programmes support young people's education, help to close the opportunity gap and provide important access to the workplace.

We are currently seeking two new Trustees to join our dynamic Board and help us to develop and deliver on our ambitious plans.

As a small charity making a big impact, we are looking for committed individuals who are willing to lead from the front and help to drive programmes forward.

A strong personal commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

• i) a Governance, Risk or Safeguarding background; ii) a willingness to leverage their network to drive partnerships

Term in office:

• All meetings are held remotely by video call.
• All meetings are held remotely by video call.
• Where required, leading specific volunteer teams (including hosting / managing virtual meetings).
• Reasonable travel expenses can be reclaimed and a meal is provided for half / full day events.

Being accountable - Taking ownership of tasks and issues that may arise, speaking up and seeking help where required.

• Being aware of safeguarding and risk - We primarily work with young people and need to remain conscious of potential risks.
• Being our best - Aligning with best practice in our operations and conduct so that we are delivering the best for young people.
