- You will join the GlobalData healthcare media team working with reporters across all the B2B websites covering sectors such as pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, and medical devices.
- Edit original news articles and features produced by the team, ensuring relevancy for the key audience
- Manage, guide and develop a small team of healthcare reporters
- Work with a designer to publish a monthly digital magazine (Pharma Technology Focus)
- Train junior journalists on beat reporting, news and feature writing
- Establish a network of contacts and feature sources across the pharma industry
- Develop content ideas that are engaging, relevant and in line with our audience strategy
- Work closely with other teams covering healthcare industry news and projects and colleagues in the data journalism, research and analysis teams to develop exclusive dataled news and feature articles
- Support coverage of key healthcare industry events
- Liaise with sales to collaborate on commercial opportunities for the site
- At least twoyears' experience editing and writing original journalistic news stories and features
- Experience line managing journalists
- Proven ability to identify, research and develop news and features in the healthcare or related space
- Keen attention to detail and strong command of the English language
- Speed and accuracy are a must for this busy role editing news stories and comment/analysis articles.
- Science and/or journalism background required as well as at least a demonstrable understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and R&D landscape
- CMS and SEO knowledge desired but not essential
- Familiarity with WordPress would be beneficial
