We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • Management of Outbound Sea freight bookings including Acquiring booking references and communicating with all relevant parties, particularly regarding any delays
  • Coordinating carrier pickup times, and providing shipment plans to ensure adherence to customer delivery requirements to destination
  • Communicating frequently with internal (DHL Glasgow, USA and Canada) and external stakeholders (carriers, haulers and customers) to ensure consistency in direction and expectations
  • Arranging and processing customs documents to ensure efficient operations
  • Responsibility for returnable stock management and governance processes
  • Maintain Good relationships with Internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational (task prioritisation) and administration skills
  • Numerical & IT Skills (ability to use Microsoft is essential)
  • Min 12 months experience in Logistics (Sea/Road/Air) processes (desirable)
  • Customer focus and detailoriented approach to work
