Safety, Health and Environment Advisor

The Company


Assured Safety Recruitment is representing a global manufacturing group seeking to appoint a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to lead the safety, health and environment agenda across their Liverpool based manufacturing facility.

You will support employees and managers, empowering and driving a positive Safety, Health and Environment culture based on best practice and striving for SHE excellence.

This is a stand-alone role, embedded on site with support from a Group SHE Manager.


About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring Group Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are aligned with regulatory requirements and embedded
  • Seeking opportunities to share best practise across the business
  • Driving high SHE standards across the site
  • Providing advice and support across site, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Maintaining and developing KPIs relating to Safety, Health and Environment
  • Maintaining the Management Systems in line with ISO45001 and ISO14001 requirements
  • Conducting accident and incident investigations, implementing corrective or preventative actions
  • Promoting safety conversations, undertaking inspections and audits, identify areas for improvement and assist with their implementation
  • Designing and delivering training on site to raise knowledge and awareness
  • Managing the assessment processes for the site eg COSHH, RA, manual handling
  • Deputising for the Group SHE Manager as and when required

Your experience


Health and Safety experience within a manufacturing setting with high risk activities related to Chemicals and or DSEAR such as chemical manufacturing, food manufacturing, automotive etc.

Ability to manage yourself and thrive in a standalone SHE position.

Nebosh Certificate minimum


What's on offer
Salary up to £40,000 with PHI, Bonus, Competitive Pension and 25 days holiday and professional fee's

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£35,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
