We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven sustainability professional who is looking for a challenging and varied role in supporting the delivery of the University's ambitious Leadership in Sustainability Strategy


This is an exciting opportunity to be based in a high-performing and highly motivated Sustainability Team that is integral in improving the University's sustainability performance.


About the role:


Being in the Sustainability Team, you will support the delivery of key projects and programmes which contribute to our continued environmental performance and to our reputation as a leading University for sustainability.

The responsibilities of the Sustainability Officer will include but are not limited to:

  • plan and deliver projects that increase awareness and understanding of sustainability
- deliver effective sustainability communications and be the key point of contact in the Sustainability Team
- support in the collation of sustainability data and information for a range of key publications, reports, and submissions
- support the administration and coordination of the Environmental Management System
- support the Sustainability Managers in the delivery of projects


You will be a passionate and driven professional with a career and/or educational background in sustainability and the environment and possess a sound knowledge of environmental management and sustainability reporting.

You will have experience in managing and delivering projects, and in developing effective and engaging communications that ensure good levels of awareness and understanding of sustainability and environmental issues amongst staff and students.

You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate ownership of your personal workload.
