Hours of work: 35 hours per week:

first 18 months including 6hours of Apprenticeship related learning a week.

Job Profile


The Fundraising Events Apprentice (FEA) provides day to day support to CAFOD's fundraising events, maximising the potential of these events.

They also support and explore new ways to engage with CAFOD's supporters through events, to maximise engagement and income.

The post is based in the Community Fundraising Team, within the Supporter Fundraising (SPF) section, part of the Fundraising and Participation Group.

The post-holder reports to the Fundraising Events Executive (FEE) and will work with them to develop diverse opportunities.

The FEA will also work with colleagues in the SPF section on cross team projects where required and agreed with the FEE.

The role will cover bespoke events, third party events and supporter led events.

All applicants must be 18 or over.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the

Fundraising Events Executive:
_

  • Taking responsibility for various fundraising platforms (e.g., JustGiving) responding to supporter queries, spotting interesting stories and thanking supporters.
  • Research fundraising events through online research and meeting with representatives from other charities
  • Update various events webpages.
  • Write blogs and news stories for the CAFOD web site.
  • Lead on communication to CAFOD staff on events
  • Support development of new events_
  • Attend meetings to discuss new event ideas.
  • Research possible new event ideas and check the viability of events ideas generated in CAFOD.
  • Research with our supporters to understand what events they would be interested in
  • Support planning and reporting for events._
  • Work with the FEE to plan the events programme.
  • Work with the FEE to report on the events programme in terms of income and participation
  • Help with reporting on social media and other digital promotions.
  • Support on the delivery of online and inperson events_
  • Organise resources, promotions, and communications for events.
  • Meet with staff internally to facilitate the organisation of events. This will include asking for support and advice, and providing information,
  • Lead on administration of event participants on our database_
  • Lead on administration of donor CRM databases and other systems, ensuring system is accurate, up to date and well maintained.
  • Work with colleagues within the Community Fundraising Team who also administer CRM systems on best practice and team wide initiatives such as utilising the database for KPI reporting.
  • Work with CAFOD wide working groups which input into effective CRM management
  • Ensure the events information on the Community Fundraising Teams site is up to date.
