Department/Role overview:


This delivery management role within the Digital Client Solutions product team is responsible for organising multiple engineering, configuration and support teams, guiding them in a variety of techniques to support the delivery of digital transformation within the firm.


The individual should enable and empower the product team to deliver high quality services in a timely and cost effective manner.

Through leading delivery professionals such as project managers, business analysts and scrum masters aligned to the multi-disciplinary teams the Product Delivery Manager will foster a culture of rapid delivery, collaboration and continuous improvement.


This role will suit someone who is passionate about building high-performing teams and driving change across a range of projects and initiatives, capable of managing work and dependencies across multiple internal and external partner teams and with an excellent understanding of various delivery methodologies, including of agile frameworks and practices.


Hours
Nominally 9:00 am - 17:30 pm Monday to Friday.

You will be expected to manage your time as your workload requires & we fully support a flexible working approach allowing you to choose to work from home or, from one of our Office Locations, as you see fit.


Main responsibilities:


  • Within an Agile delivery team collaborate with members of IT, Ashurst Advance Digital and the wider business to deliver clientfacing products and experiences which deliver legal advice and drive engagement.
  • Provide effective leadership to the product team, taking responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and completion of mediumscale projects.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate project management and delivery methods and techniques and review them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure that roadmaps and project plans are maintained, delivering regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, managing their expectations accordingly.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams, reporting progress updates, as well as being an escalation point to resolve delivery prioritisation issues.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with agreed architectures, standards, methods, and tools while addressing security and privacy requirements.
  • Ensure project and product quality and retain commercial awareness to deliver within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, taking action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Ensure that product service delivery meets agreed service levels (KPI / SLAs) and initiate actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
  • Manage change control processes, assessing and managing risks.
  • Forge effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Essential skills and experience:


  • 5+ years in an Agile Delivery Manager or Project Management role managing complex development work with experience of:
Leading multiple delivery teams across multiple geographies using Agile principles and practices

  • Delivering incremental product developments throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Delivering changes with a mix of internal and 3rd party resource
  • Organising workloads to ensure an optimal balance of business as usual, project work and internal initiatives
  • Diagnosing service and project delivery problems and initiating actions to address
  • Coaching, motivating and empowering teams through the adoption of best practice delivery techniques
  • Able to support the product owner to realise the product vision through product roadmaps, forecasting / budgeting, decision making
  • Providing leadership to Scrum Masters, Business Analysts and Project Managers aligned to the product
  • Able to create a culture within a team of selforganisation, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, able to communicate with stakeholders and people of varied technical ability
  • Interest and understanding of various agile frameworks, methods and good practices, preferably holding an Agile qualification.
  • Awareness of ITSM frameworks (support, delivery and implementation)
