About The SchoolOur client, an outstanding-rated secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London is seeking an exceptional Head of English to lead their dynamic English department.

The school is dedicated to providing students with an enriching and stimulating learning environment, fostering a love for language and literature.

About The RoleAs Head of English, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the department's vision, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

Providing strategic leadership and guidance to the English departmentDeveloping and implementing a comprehensive English curriculumOverseeing the professional development of English teachersMonitoring and evaluating the department's performancePromoting a love of English literature and language among studentsQualifications And ExperienceTo excel in this role, you should possess:A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE)A strong academic background in English language and literatureA minimum of five years' experience teaching English at secondary levelProven leadership and management skillsAn unwavering commitment to providing students with an exceptional English educationSalary And BenefitsThe salary for this Head of English position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
