Principal Responsibilities and Duties

Identify areas for improvement in our health and safety practices.
Review current risk assessments and manual handling assessments alongside our external consultant.
Maximise the use of our new online health and safety cloud system.
Ensure all health and safety records and documentation are accurate, uptodate, and easily accessible.
Provide guidance and support to departmental managers and employees on health and safety matters.
Consolidate monthly data and lead the monthly health and safety steering group meetings and subsequent actions.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with health and safety standards.
Coordinate health and safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and industry standards and ensure compliance.

About your Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:

Proven experience in health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Indepth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Detailoriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
NEBOSH or similar certification in health and safety is required
