Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an occupational therapist or physiotherapist to take up the role of Team Lead in the Community Neurosciences Team in Warrington.

The integrated team comprises physiotherapist, occupational therapists, neurological nurses, a psychologist, psychology assistant, therapy assistants and admin/clerical staff members.

The caseload comprises the full range of adult neurological conditions and also includes Early Supported Discharge for Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury.

In addition to delivering home based therapy programs, the team run therapy groups including Balance Group, Cognitive Skills and Fatigue Management.

The team has a strong profile in the Trust and has a history of being involved in clinical research trials.

The service has established pathways for joint working with Warrington Hospital, The Walton Centre, community healthcare professionals and social service colleagues.
