GTS Transportation is currently recruiting for an Engineering Workshop Manager for our client, an Automotive Supplier, based in Milton Keynes.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Workshop Manager to manage a busy workshop department, and operatives.

This role will involve the smooth running of a Engineering Workshop, managing work is on schedule, any issues are dealt with, and suppliers are organised to service the requirements of the workshop.

As the Engineering Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of the team.

Liaising with all teams, including the purchasing team, planning team, design team and quality as required, to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.

Communicating regularly with sales team to aid in quotations of manufactured items and ensuring project pipeline is in place.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a similar industry (Automotive/Aerospace/Defence/Motorsport) and have the following skills and experience.


  • BSc (or similar) in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Experience of managing a workshop within a similar environment.
  • Experienced with ISO9001 QMS
  • Able to read technical engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
This role is working from the office in Milton Keynes, you must be able to commute to the office.
