    THE OPPORTUNITY

    SII UK are hiring for a role of a System Design Engineer based in Bristol.

    This role requires iterative collaboration within the domains working on the project, involving close cooperation with design and other functional teams.

    TASKS:

    The primary requirements for the position encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Meeting the stakeholder's goals, purposes, and success conditions for the system
  • Specification of black box behaviour and characteristics
  • Transformations from inputs to outputs (functional/activity models)
  • Supporting the system with state/mode-based behavioural differences (state models)
  • Responding to incoming service requests (message models)
  • Accountability for functional and performance requirements for the domain in Weapon System (WS) and sub-system Technical Requirement Specifications (TRSs), as well as establishing suitable linkage and flow-down between requirements.
  • Responsibility for completing and maintaining the functional design section for the domain within WS and Munition design modules.
  • Leading the writing of functional and performance requirements for a subset of Critical Performance Parameters (CPSs) and ensures other sections are completed by relevant parties within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Monitors compliance and identifies shortfalls, highlighting emerging risks and facilitating agreement on mitigation plans as needed.
