    Description

    Who we are:

TDI Group is at the start of an incredible journey to deliver transport solutions that connect local communities, encourage economic growth and provide sustainability through the products, the environment they operate within and how TDI deliver them.

What we have ahead of us is awesome, a 'clean sheet' in most areas. In three years, we need to be able to call ourselves an OEM who is delivering fleet accepted products in 'Very light Rail' and mass transit sectors. We have incredible product foundations and customer-led opportunities. Google 'Revolution Light rail' to see the momentum that is gathering.

What you will do at TDI:

The business is undergoing a considered growth strategy to deliver our transformation into an OEM with a multi-product portfolio. We have identified that as part of our core capability we need to develop a strong electrical team to own and deliver multiple innovative systems and support launching not just the product but the business & operational set up.

For the right-minded person this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your technical, engineering design skills developing and releasing LV & HV electrical harnessing across the product.

We are assembling a diverse team with broad experiences from rail, automotive, aerospace, utility and renewables. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in EDS at vehicle and detail level. A master of packaging and routing in the 3D environment to strict standards as well as high competence of 2D detail design.

    What to expect:

    • Own and deliver LV & HV EDS designs
    • Experience developing vehicle-based EDS systems
    • History implementing 'safe by design' HV EDS systems.
    • Ideally HV trained (ability to work on HV systems)
    • First principle electrical EDS engineering and problem-solving skills.
    • Interpretation and embodiment of compliance and legislative requirements into designs.
    • Ensure the embodiment of design for manufacture in your systems with supply chain.
    • As part of the project team ensure 'design for assembly' to deliver our OEM run and rate targets.
    • Highly proficient in the 2D and 3D EDS design, Catia, Arcadia or similar.

Who you are and what we are looking for:

    • An electrical, manufacturing, or Engineering Degree beneficial but not a deal breaker.
    • Demonstratable experience in similar complexity projects / products.
    • LV and HV system delivery knowledge from requirement setting to launch.
